Analyze your dairy concentrates without the hazzle

Many dairy concentrates have high solid content and will give significant challenges when analyzed on classical IR systems. The dairy concentrates may often be difficult to pump and will cause increase wear of the analysis cell. On the DairyQuant B5 FT-NIR from Q-Interline you can analyze many dairy concentrates without the acknowledged challenges of mid-IR systems.

DairyQuantB5 Concentrates

On the DairyQuant B5 system the sample is analyzed in cheap disposable vials. there is no pumping and no problems with cleaning of the measurement cell. The analysis result is obtained within 30 seconds after the analysis has been initiated, for standard components like protein, dry matter and fat.

Sampling

The sample is analysed by transmission measurement in cheap disposable vials. The sample to be analysed in placed in the temperature controlled heated vial holder, left to heat to the desired analysis temperature and analysed. Controlling the sample temperature means that influence from temperature fluctuation is reduced to a minimum.  

Software package

The DairyQuant B5 is supplied with a powerful software package comprising InfraQuant QC Software and Horizon QI spectroscopic software.

InfraQuant QC software is combining user friendliness with high level of data security. The Operator is guided through the steps of the analysis sequence, in most cases in native language. This ensures that standard operating procedures are followed and that consistent results are obtained independent of operator skill level and experience. Results of the analysis are presented with clear figures with integrated color codes. The color codes reflect the validity of the results measured against preset criteria.

Horizon QI spectroscopic software offers a series of powerful spectroscopic tools for the advanced user. Horizon QI is also used to verify the performance of your system and for troubleshooting purpose, enabling remote access to the analyzer via TeamViewer software.

Workstation

The DairyQuant B5 comes with an elegant all-in-one computer, using wireless mouse and keyboard. The computer is build into the monitor and the operating system is Windows 7. The computer enables connection of barcode reader, label printer etc. offering the user maximum flexibility.

Low maintenance cost - high value of ownership 

The DairyQuant B5 has no scheduled maintenance and does not require an annual service. The light source has an expected lifetime of 10 years and the laser has an expected lifetime of the instrument. This means that you can save the cost and planning of an annual maintenance.

Diffuse Reflectance Sampling

For in-pipe sampling of homogeneous process streams.             
The Diffuse Reflectance Probe is designed to meet all relevant requirements in the life science and food industry. The probe features sanitary design in accordance with strict industry requirements. The Diffuse Reflectance Probe accepts CIP/SIP and offers high security through a proprietary metal-to-sapphire sealing technique eliminating the need for O-rings and brazed joints . The probe is connected to the InSight spectrometer through a fiber optical bundle cable, which fulfills hygiene requirements. The fiber optical cable is protected for easy placement in cable trays.


Spoon Probe Sampling

For easy as it gets powder sampling of fine powders. 
The Spoon Probe is a special variant of the Diffuse Reflectance Probe especially adapted to sampling of fine powders in a falling stream. The sample is collected in the spoon area of the probe and analzed. After analysis the window of the probe and the spoon area is cleaned by means of pressurized air.  The probe is connected to the InSight spectrometer through a fiber optical bundle cable, which fulfills hygiene requirements. Sight View
Daily operations are monitored and controlled via the InSight View frontend software. The intuitive software offers full overview of analyzer status, measurement results, trend curves etc. Status is displayed with color codes against preset criteria. Choose the product to analyze, start and stop the analysis, initiate sampling from process and initiate reference measurements all through easy to understand icon buttons. InSight View has a multi language user interface and is designed to be operated by process personnel.
InSight View can run on a monitor in the operator room or on a fully IP65 protected monitor next to the production line. The IP65 protected monitor has touch screen possibility for ease of use and offers a full overview where the operator needs it.     

FTSW100

FTSW100 Process Software is our backend software platform for online spectroscopy solutions. The product has been developed by our partner ABB Bomem. FTSW100 was built from scratch to support automated and unattended analysis 365 days a year, 24/7 with excellent stability records.

Sampling

The sample is analysed by reflection measurements in petri dishes. Dairy powders vary a lot in degree of homogeneity and therefore it is important to use an analyzer offering correct sampling. On the DairyQuant B3 the sample is rotated during analysis, meaning that the analyzer is seing a large part of the sample and that influences from sample inhomogeinity is reduced to a minimum.

For analysis of very hygroscopic dairy powders we recommend to use the DairyQuant B1, where the sample is analysed in 125ml glass jars with lid. The lid secures that the sample is protected from influences from the surroundings and that the sample will not take up humidity from the air, giving a wrong analysis result. The sample is rotated during analysis making sure that influences from product inhomogeinity is reduced to a minimum.

Sampling

The sample is analysed by reflection measurements in petri cups, which are rotating during analysis. Rotating the sample will ensure representative sampling and that effects from product heterogeneity are reduced.

The petri cup is made from Teflon and can be kept in the pocket between analysis for ease of access. The petri cup can be brought into the production area, where there is a ban on glass and plastic. After the analysis the petri cup can be cleaned and re-used many times.

Software package

The DairyQuant B4 is supplied with a powerful software package consisting of InfraQuant QC software and Horizon QI.

InfraQuant QC software is combining user friendliness with high level of data security.  The Operator is guided through the steps of the analysis sequence, in most cases in native language. This ensures that standard operating procedures are followed and that consistent results are obtained independent of operator skill level and experience.

Results of the analysis are presented with clear figures with integrated color codes. The color codes reflect the validity of the results measured against preset criteria.

Diffuse Reflectance Sampling

For in-pipe sampling of homogeneous process streams.              

The Diffuse Reflectance Probe is designed to meet all relevant requirements in the life science and food industry. The probe features sanitary design in accordance with strict industry requirements. The Diffuse Reflectance Probe accepts CIP/SIP and offers high security through a proprietary metal-to-sapphire sealing technique eliminating the need for O-rings and brazed joints . The probe is connected to the InSight spectrometer through a fiber optical bundle cable, which fulfills hygiene requirements. The fiber optical cable is protected for easy placement in cable trays.


Spoon Probe Sampling

For easy as it gets powder sampling of fine powders.  

The Spoon Probe is a special variant of the Diffuse Reflectance Probe especially adapted to sampling of fine powders in a falling stream. The sample is collected in the spoon area of the probe and analzed. After analysis the window of the probe and the spoon area is cleaned by means of pressurized air.  The probe is connected to the InSight spectrometer through a fiber optical bundle cable, which fulfills hygiene requirements. The Transmission Cell for flow-through analysis in process pipes is a flexible high precision optical device, which provides a very rugged and reliable solution for unattended in-line process monitoring. The Transmission Cell is fiber-coupled, allowing for high temperature and pressure operating conditions. The Transmission Cell offers a high optical transmission capability and a fixed path length. The sanitary design accepts CIP/SIP and fulfills strict hygiene requirements of the industry. All probes are supplied with matching weld fittings and plugs for optimal implementation in process equipment. The plug allows for continous production if the probe is removed from the weld fitting.

Sight View

Daily operations are monitored and controlled via the InSight View frontend software. The intuitive software offers full overview of analyzer status, measurement results, trend curves etc. Status is displayed with color codes against preset criteria. Choose the product to analyze, start and stop the analysis, initiate sampling from process and initiate reference measurements all through easy to understand icon buttons. InSight View has a multi language user interface and is designed to be operated by process personnel.
InSight View can run on a monitor in the operator room or on a fully IP65 protected monitor next to the production line. The IP65 protected monitor has touch screen possibility for ease of use and offers a full overview where the operator needs it.     

FTSW100

FTSW100 Process Software is our backend software platform for online spectroscopy solutions. The product has been developed by our partner ABB Bomem. FTSW100 was built from scratch to support automated and unattended analysis 365 days a year, 24/7 with excellent stability records.

Sampling

The cheese sample is grinded, placed in the petri dish and analysed by reflection measurements. The petri dish is rotating during the analysis, ensuring representative sampling and that effects from product heterogeneity are reduced.

The petri dishes used for the analysis can be made of either glass, plastic or Teflon depending on local requirements. Teflon is especially suitable for production sites where glass and plastic are not allowed on site.
