In addition, the rugged design of the monolithic Spectral Sensors from Carl Zeiss allows reliable and accurate data acquisition in rough environments, without any need of recalibration. Only high-quality, low noise detectors with a high dynamic range are used. Dark current sensitive NIR and CCD devices are thermoelectrically stabilised for drift free operation. With these features they are ideal devices for high performance process and production control.

MultiSpec - modular Instrument family

MultiSpec systems offer a flexible housing concept in 19” industrial design. Multiple detectors and different light sources can be combined to cover a wide range of application needs. tec5 electronics guarantee stable and robust data processing, using high speed USB or Ethernet interfaces. The integrated spectrometer modules use high-quality optics without moving parts resulting in outstanding long-term stability. With standardized fiber-optic connectors these spectrometer systems can be integrated directly into the production process providing reliable real-time results. MultiSpec systems are successfully applied by many well-known companies.

- Available spectral ranges from 195-2500 nm
- Reliable Spectral Sensors with high efficiency from Carl Zeiss

MultiSpec is available in three versions:

- MultiSpec NIR: covering the range from 900 - 1.690 nm, InGaAs detector
- MultiSpec UV-VIS: covering the range down to 195 nm
- MultiSpec CCD: Covers the full spectral range from UV to NIR

CompactSpec - process spectrometer for rough environments

The CompactSpec II is a robust UV/VIS/NIR instrumentin a stainless steel cabinet (IP 54/65) with an industrial PC and a TFT touch screen monitor. Based on fast and reliable detector array and light source technology with high endurance, it is ideal for demanding process applications. An electronic or optical multiplexer allows multichannel operation.

The units and systems are easily adapted to inline measurements in pipes and reactors by fiber optics in combination with probes or flow-through cells. The instrument is temperature controlled by a Vortec cooling unit, using pressurized air.

Rapid-ID

Palmsized Raman spectroscopy

From US based DeltaNU we are presenting the Rapid-ID handheld Raman system. The Rapid-ID is the smallest, lightest and most affordable
solution for Raman rapid identification.

rapidid cut out
The compact Raman spectrometer addresses the growing need for non-destructive analysis of raw materials, intermediates and finished products in a range of industrial areas, e.g. Chemicals, Speciality Chemicals, Polymer Production and Medical, Devices, Consumer Products, Packaging and Plastic Recycling.

The rugged design, clear LED display and push button control makes Rapid-ID suitable for the busiest operations. Material identification is carried out by comparing the unique molecular fingerprint to that of known reference materials stored in a pre-loaded spectral library. Additional reference materials can be added in less than a minute.

Analysis most types of products

Rapid-ID can be equipped with different types of measurement tips, which enables the measurement of most types of products, e.g. liquids, powders, solids and gels.

The intergrated data management via USB and the optional bluetooth barcode scanner makes the Rapid-ID both powerful and easy to use.

MB-Rx

In-Situ Reaction Monitor

In-situ reaction monitoring is an essential step in the chemical synthesis process. Intended for laboratories and pilot plants, the MB-Rx Reaction Monitor provides chemists with direct access to real-time experiment data
via a rugged insertion probe and an intuitive software interface.

MB-PX picture with PC

The MB-Rx is designed around the key concepts of analytical performance, reliability and simplicity. It is a plug-and-play solution that can be used at any time without requiring any consumables or maintenance!

This robust analytical solution provides real-time insight into reaction monitoring for various processes in chemical and biotechnology applications.  The MB-Rx enables R&D and process development teams to look into the progress of chemical reactions as they happen. Chemical reaction in a flow or batch reactor requires a fast and efficient method to measure the consumption of reactants as well as the formation of products and by-products in order to optimize an industrial process in the shortest time possible.

With its reduced footprint, the MB-Rx can be used inside crowded fumehoods, providing convenient access to reactors. Its optics are non-hygroscopic, and do not require desiccant cartridges. For additional ease of use, the MB-Rx operates with a room-temperature detector, so that users do not have to worry about nitrogen supply for cryogenically cooled detectors or regular refurbishment constraints associated with Stirling cooled detectors. All key spectral and chemical properties are trended in real time, and the ergonomic software interface allows for rapid set-up of new experiment templates.

The aluminium casting of the MB-Rx provides the level of protection required for intensive use in an industrial environment. It also features permanently aligned optics and a light source that has an average lifespan of 10 years, which means that the instrument is virtually maintenance-free.

For additional serenity, users can rely on the built-in health monitoring checks that run continuously while the MB-Rx is in operation, because we believe that chemists should focus their attention on the reaction itself, rather than the measurement interface.
