The FuelQuant B5 can quickly and cost-efficiently measure components in biodiesel and biodiesel  raw materials, e.g. animal fat, vegetable oils, soy, rapeseed and algae.

Sampling

The sample is analysed by transmission measurements in inexpensive vials on the QIA1075 – Universal Vial Sampler. The Universal Vial Sampler has space for 5mm, 8mm and 12mm vials outer diameter.

The vial with the sample is placed in the heated vial holder before analysis. This ensures that the sample is analysed at the right temperature, representative sampling and that effects from temperature fluctuations are reduced. After analysis the vials are disposed off.

Software

The FuelQuant B5 is supplied with a powerful software package consisting of InfraQuant Operator Software and Horizon QI spectroscopic software.

InfraQuant QC software is combining user friendliness with high level of data security.  The Operator is guided through the steps of the analysis sequence, in most cases in native language.
This ensures that standard operating procedures are followed and that consistent results are obtained independent of operator skill level and experience.

Results of the analysis are presented with clear figures with integrated color codes. The color codes reflect the validity of the results measured against preset criteria.

Horizon QI spectroscopic software offers a series of powerful spectroscopic tools for the advanced user. Horizon QI is used to verify the performance of your system and for troubleshooting. The Horizon QI Advanced Instrument Health will tell you the status of your system with more than 50 values tagged every Second.

The advanced user can collect, view and manipulate spectra in Horizon QI for optimization and R&D purposes. The Horizon QI software can be extended with further functionalities through a series of add-on modules.

Workstation

The FuelQuant B5 comes with an external workstation which eliminates the disadvantages of build-in Computers. Upgrading and replacement is easily performed on-site reducing the potential downtime of the equipment to a minimum.

With the external computer it is possible to connect a series of accessories like touch screens, label printer, barcode reader etc. offering the user maximum flexibility.


Low cost of ownership - Save on expensive maintenance contracts

The FuelQuant B5 has no scheduled maintenance. The light source has an expected lifetime of 10 years and the laser is solid state maintenance free. This will enable you to save the cost for Expensive maintenance contracts.

AgriQuant B8

Analysis of energy crops

The AgriQuant B8 equipped with the new patented Spiral Sampler accessory from Q-Interline offers the ideal solution for analysis of energy crops. Due to the very heterogene nature of energy crops it has so far been very difficult to obtain truly representative scanning of the products.

The sample is rotated and conveyed during analysis which means that the AgriQuant B8 is scanning an amazing area of 375 cm2 of the sample during analysis. Due to the very large area scanned the AgriQuant B8 is offering truly representative scanning, compared to traditional petri dish methods which are only scanning an area of approximately 18 cm2.

Sample handling - smooth workflow

The sample is analysed by reflection measurement in AgriTube sample glasses with lids. The AgriQUant B8 also offers tumbling mode, i.e. using less than full AgriTubes. In tumbling mode the sample is constantly mixed during the analysis which reduces effects from product heterogenity and ensures that all parts of the sample has the same probability to become part of the spectrum.

The AgriTubes for the AgriQuant B8 are especially designed to provide easy handling and smooth workflows. The AgriTubes are easy to fill and many AgriTubes can be prepared for later analysis. The lids will protect the sample from the environment , e.g. against water uptake or evaporation.

After analysis the AgriTubes are easily emptied and washed. The AgriTubes can be re-used many times keeping the cost per analysis very low.
