Cooperation with Polychromix

Having been on its way for a while, a capable handheld NIR analyzer is now available from our new partner Polychromix: the Phazirä handheld NIR Material Analyzer. The analyzer is at a sufficient level of optical quality and transferability and enables real time, on-site analysis and data collection.

The 1.8 kilo Phazirä is based on a digital transform spectrometer and covers from 1600-2400 nm. This spectrum is suitable for a wide range of tasks. For instance, Polychromix has sold units to be used in different areas such as sorting of plastics, moisture determination in coffee and screening of airplane and wing coating after lightning strikes.

Promising technology
Q-Interline’s choice to act as a distributor for Polychromix is based on our evaluation of a series of emerging new NIR technologies. Based on careful examination of the strengths and weaknesses and a comparison between the different handheld technologies, we consider the Polychromix technology to be the most promising at the moment.
